A little about me...

Hi! I’m Alessandro. I started this blog in 2012, and I'm now in my 20s. I still have a sister named Elise; she is no longer 6 years old, nor in girl scouts. Of course, I was, but no longer am, in scouts as well. I occasionally live by the beach and I do still have a HUGE extended family all over the US and Mexico. Some of my favorite words continue to be pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis and terraqueous. I am really good at math, science, magic and building things. Since then, I've picked up singing and dancing, and a few languages as well. I study Mechanical Engineering and Physics at MIT, and though I am no longer 8 years old , I still really like Legos. I also maintain my interest in circuitry. That’s mostly it. Bye for now.

Corollary to "A Long While"

I just posted a post named A Long While which was actually written in 2020... it's now December 7th, 2024, and I am revisiting this site over a decade after its inception. What a trip! I am in Madrid, Spain posting this, and I figure I will be using this a little more often next year, as a part of my goal to chronicle some personal undertakings, including research, hobbies, and interesting thoughts - I almost wish somebody invented a great format for organizing these things online!

Oh yeah, I've had one already called a "blog", and it really has been a long while since I posted. In terms of a concrete update to my loyal followers, I am nearly 2 and a half years into my Mechanical Engineering and Physics studies at MIT, which have pretty much been the focus of my life. I still have a lovely family, a dog named Biscuit, and more recently a fantastic girlfriend named Gia with whom I have had the privilege of traveling the world! I suppose soon I'll get around to posting some pictures. There is a lot I am currently working on and hoping to chronicle here, so I suppose all of my new endeavors will have to be juxtaposed with my youthful habits of old. That's how the cookie crumbles!
