A little about me...

Hi! I’m Alessandro. I started this blog in 2012, and I'm now in my 20s. I still have a sister named Elise; she is no longer 6 years old, nor in girl scouts. Of course, I was, but no longer am, in scouts as well. I occasionally live by the beach and I do still have a HUGE extended family all over the US and Mexico. Some of my favorite words continue to be pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis and terraqueous. I am really good at math, science, magic and building things. Since then, I've picked up singing and dancing, and a few languages as well. I study Mechanical Engineering and Physics at MIT, and though I am no longer 8 years old , I still really like Legos. I also maintain my interest in circuitry. That’s mostly it. Bye for now.

Sound The Alarm!

Today, my sister Elise's Daisy Troop went to the Huntington Beach Lake Fire Station.  When we got in there, the fireman there told us that this was the only fire station in the city that had a pole that you can slide down on!  The fireman giving us the tour, split us into two groups.  My group went inside the station first.  When we went into the kitchen, I immediately noticed that the kitchen was so huge, that they even had three refrigerators and a dinning table for 10 people!  The fireman told us that they play cards to see who has to cook dinner for all 10 people in the station.  Once we ventured into the TV room, I realized that every chair in there was a recliner!  They told us that they can only go into the TV room after they've done everything. Then we went into the dock where all of the fire engines are.  There he showed us all of the equipment they use.  The coolest thing I saw was a metal tool that can break down any door in the world!  Right at that moment, one of the fire fighters had to go to Albertson's.  I wondered if the store was on fire because they turned on the lights and sirens! It turned out they were just buying groceries!  I think that the fireman's job is really cool!!
